Ukraine. Immediate reinforcement with new western weapon systems.

Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

Western news outlets speculate that U.S. President Joe Biden may soon announce the transfer of Abrams tanks to Kyiv

amid calls for the West's top-of-the-line tanks in Ukraine. However, Russia has already sent a stern warning against any such adventurism.

Russia's ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, warned on January 24 that the transfer of Abrams tanks to Ukraine would be seen as another "flagrant provocation" against Russia and that the Russian military would destroy the equipment.

Western pressure on Russia continues.

Anatoly Antonov's warning came in response to Western media reports suggesting the White House is moving closer to a decision to send Abrams tanks to Ukraine. Some reports indicated that up to 50 Abrams tanks could be delivered to Kyiv.

The big problem is the process of substantial and practical training of Ukrainians in such new and complex weapon systems and combat tactics.

The time required under normal conditions is more than six months without the stress that the participating Tank operators will find themselves in front of Russian Artillery and anti-tank weapons barrels.

It will be another opportunity for Russia to get to know American and German tanks up close.

The Russians have a particular dislike and hatred

for the black cross insignia found on German tanks.

On Russian television, relevant programs are heard, from critical voices about the lax attitude of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine to completely absurd proposals and discussions.

In addition, German publication Der Spiegel also reported on January 24 that the country has finally decided to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine to help bolster the war effort. Earlier German media reported that the government was buying time and basing its decision on Washington's decision on the Abrams.

Moreover, these speculations are significant as they come just days after the NATO allies failed to convince the United States and Germany at the Rammstein Air Base meeting to announce the delivery of their respective tanks for Ukraine.

In February 2023, the Western alliance will also decide on deploying Western aircraft in conjunction with modern Western short- and long-range air defense systems and airborne radar support.

The Abrams tank is equipped with advanced composite armor, which offers effective defense against enemy fire and I.E.D.s. To protect the crew from the possibility of tank ammunition exploding in the event of tank destruction, fuel, and ammunition are stored in separate compartments.

There are already several American tanks in Poland and Romania, a stone's throw from the Ukrainian border.

Great Britain.

In addition to the German Leopard-2 tanks and the American Abrams, the U.K. has also decided to send its state-of-the-art Challenger MBTs to Ukraine.

While they may not be ultimately "game-changing," even a small number of these tanks and other weapons could help Ukrainian forces in their upcoming offensive and defensive operations.

Slovakia

Slovakia's government says it is ready to deliver 30 T-72 tanks to Ukraine immediately if it receives Western-made tanks to replace them, Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad said on Wednesday.

Last year, Slovakia sent 30 Soviet-made BVP-1 armored fighting vehicles to Ukraine following an agreement with Germany to acquire 15 Leopard 2 tanks.

"We have another 30 T-72 tanks that we can deliver to Ukraine immediately, even tomorrow if we receive Western-made tanks - Leopard or another type - to replace them," the Slovak defense minister said.

For months, Ukraine's government has been persistently asking the West for tanks to give its Army more firepower in its fight to liberate territory seized by Russian invaders.

Earlier on Wednesday, Germany officially announced the delivery of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, a move Kyiv hailed as a potential turning point in the war. Meanwhile, the U.S. is also ready to deliver Abrams tanks.

Both types are among the most advanced in the world.

Based on NATO criteria, Slovakia needs 43 tanks, Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad said, adding that it will have a total of 45 once it receives the 15 Leopards from Germany. So far, Bratislava has received just one and expects to receive two every month from March.

Slovakia also sent eight Zuzana self-propelled guns to Ukraine last year and is building another 16 to be paid for by Denmark, Germany, and Norway. Nant said the Ukrainian government had expressed interest in buying another 11 self-propelled guns and has negotiated the contract.

Norway

The Norwegian government will deliver Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gramm confirmed today.

"The Norwegian government supports the delivery of tanks to Ukraine. Therefore, Norway will participate (in this effort)," Bjorn Arild Gram told Norwegian public broadcaster N.R.K.

He did not specify the number of tanks Norway would send.

The U.S.A.

After Berlin decided to send Leopard to Ukraine, a decision of historical importance, giving relief to allies, the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, announced the shipment of 31 Abrams tanks, worth 400 million dollars, to Kyiv, along with spare parts and necessary ammunition and complete support.

Russia's reactions.

With a harsh statement prelude to dramatic developments, Russia responded to Germany's decision to send tanks against Russian troops fighting in Donbas and Kherson-Zaporizia, areas which have been declared Russian territory by Moscow and therefore, the sending of German tanks is considered as an invasion similar to that of Hitler in Russia in June 1941.

Hitler 1916

As Russian Ambassador Sergey Netzaev stated, "The choice of Berlin marks the final refusal of the Federal Republic of Germany to recognize its historical responsibility towards our people for the terrible, timeless crimes of Nazism during the Great Patriotic War and points to the oblivion of difficult road of post-war reconciliation between the Russians and the Germans."

"With the approval of the leadership of Germany, Leopard will again send tanks with German crosses to the 'eastern front,' which will inevitably lead to the deaths of not only Russian soldiers but also the civilian population," the Russian ambassador added.

This position, the harshest that has been made against Germany by Moscow, either as Russia or as the Soviet Union since 1945, "awakens" the "ghosts" of European world wars.

Information indicates that German tanks, American M1A2 Abrams, British Challenger -1/-2, and any other Western tank from 100 units will be directly, soon deployed against the Russian Army.

It is a fact that, except for the T-90, there are no equivalent Russian tanks, but the amount of 100 units is small to make a difference on a front that stretches for thousands of kilometers.

But the quantity of HIMARS rocket launchers (initially only 24 units) was small and contributed to a large extent to the interception of the Russian advance and the subsequent counterattack of the Ukrainians.

In a statement, the Russian embassy stressed that this decision means that Berlin abandons its "historical responsibility towards Russia" arising from the crimes of the Nazis during the Second World War.

In a statement, the embassy says the deliveries of the tanks in question will escalate the conflict to a new level and lead to "permanent escalation."

Konstantin Gavrilov.

Out of control, the situation for world peace may develop as the decision to send tanks. In particular, the American type with armor and depleted uranium ammunition to the Ukrainian Army did not escape the attention of Russia, which warns that any use of them would be considered "as a use of dirty nuclear bombs"!

"Delivering Western-made uranium munitions to Kyiv will be seen by Moscow as the use of dirty nuclear bombs," said Konstantin Gavrilov, head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna talks on military security and arms control.

The Ria Novosti agency reports the following, which lists a new, severe aspect of the Ukrainian war.

It states in detail, "We warn the Western sponsors of Kyiv's military machine to encourage nuclear provocations and blackmail.

We know that the Leopard 2 tank, as well as the Bradley and Marder infantry fighting vehicles, are armed with depleted uranium armor-piercing missiles, the use of which leads to contamination of the area, as happened in Yugoslavia and Iraq.

Suppose Kyiv supplies such munitions for NATO heavy military equipment. In that case, we will consider it as the use of dirty nuclear bombs against Russia, with all the ensuing consequences," the diplomat said, speaking at the OSCE forum on security cooperation.

As Konstantin Sivkov, doctor of military sciences, told R.I.A. Novosti, the Leopard 2 ammunition load includes shells with depleted uranium cores.

Their use leads to contamination of the area and cancer outbreaks.

Update 1: Germany's Foreign Minister Baerbock says in a statement that we are at war with Russia.

Update 2Portugal to send 4 Leopard 2A6 to Ukraine.

Update 3In response to Leopards & Abrams, Russia will deploy the New Armata tank.

All parties involved are trying to buy time by partially turning their economy into a War Economy.
