Moldova, the new war front, is ready to explode.

Wizz Air new airplane takeoff

Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Suspension of flights in Moldova and mobility of Ukrainians on the borders of Transnistria: Is Kyiv preparing to attack?

Kyiv wants the ammunition from the Kobasna warehouse immediately.

Airlines are suspending flights in Moldovan airspace as fears of Ukraine's surprise attack and seizure of pro-Russian Transnistria in the coming days are high.

Fears fueled by the movement of Ukrainian forces to the borders of Transnistria at the behest of the Southern Ukrainian Command.

There are numerous reports of intense Ukrainian mobility.

In particular, the airline company Wizz Air announced yesterday, Monday, February 27, 2023, that it will suspend until March 14 all flights to the capital of Moldova, Chisinau, due to concerns about the safety of its airspace, a decision that the Moldovan Civil Aviation Authority described as sudden and sad.

The date is not accidental, as Ukraine will attempt its counterattack against the Russian forces from the second fortnight of March.

Kyiv would likely like a "difficult" front for the Russians in Transnistria.

However, it should be mentioned that Transnistria, apart from the 1,800 Russian soldiers, has an armed force of 5,000 men and reserves of another 20,000 men.

They have yet to discover their fighting worth as they haven't fought since 1992.

Wizz Air said in a statement:

"Passenger and crew safety remains Wizz Air's number one priority, and following recent developments in Moldova and the increased, but not imminent, risk in the country's airspace, the company has taken the difficult but responsible decision to suspend all flights to Chisinau from March 14," he said.

On Wednesday, Moldovan Foreign Minister Nikos Popescu said his country is prepared for a "full range of threats."

Moldova's civil aviation authority said the country's authorities were informed by email of Wizz Air's decision, adding that the airline had requested approval for its summer flight schedule on February 14, 2023.
