Monday, July 17, 2023. The resend attack is the second attempt to destroy the bridge that connects the Crimean peninsula with the Russian mainland by road and train.

According to Reuters and RBC-Ukraine news agencies, explosions occurred on the Bridge in Kerch, connecting Crimea with the rest of the Russian Federation.
Newer reports speak of a double strike by Ukrainian cruise missiles, probably by the British-made Storm Shadow.
Storm Shadow / SCALP is the air-launched long-range, conventionally armed, deep strike weapon designed to meet the demanding requirements of pre-planned attacks against high-value fixed or stationary targets.
Able to be operated in extreme conditions, the weapon offers operators a highly flexible, deep-strike capability based on a sophisticated mission planning system.
Storm Shadow / SCALP was put into operations with the Royal Air Force and the French Air Force in 2003 and was used in the Gulf, Iraq, and Libya. The weapon is now in service with three other nations giving unrivaled deep strike capability.
Storm Shadow / SCALP is operated from Tornado, Rafale, Mirage 2000, and in the future from Eurofighter Typhoon.
France has reported that it has also sent modern Scalp cruise missiles to Ukraine.

Ukraine already has cluster munitions.
The Russian Telegram channel "Grey Zone" associated with the Wagner group reported at least two strikes on the bridge at 3:04 am and 3:20 am local time.
The Russian Ministry of Transport and Communications said that a bridge pillar on the Crimean side had been damaged.
According to available information, the 155th pillar in Tuzla was impacted.

Videos and photos circulated on social media have documented the damage caused to the Crimean Bridge.
The two dead on the bridge were identified as two young Russian parents, while their daughter was reportedly slightly injured.
A little while ago, the Russian Ministry of Transport and Communications said that the 155th pillar of the bridge on the Crimean side had been damaged.
